The Ministry of Education has launched its 2025 Summer Abroad Programme, sending 270 outstanding Grades 10 and 11 public school students to six leading international innovation hubs.
The initiative, running through July and August, is part of the UAE’s broader vision to prepare youth for a knowledge-driven future. Students, accompanied by trained academic supervisors, will travel to top universities and research institutions in Singapore, China, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and Malaysia.
Students will receive hands-on training in cutting-edge fields like artificial intelligence, leadership, and entrepreneurship, which are key pillars of the UAE’s innovation strategy. The programme includes field visits and specialised training, and is designed to develop academic excellence, personal growth, and a global mindset.
Officials from the Ministry highlighted the importance of exposing students to world-class learning environments that foster both cultural understanding and scientific discovery. This year also marks the inclusion of students of determination, participating in Japan and South Korea.
