Social media is all about likes, followers and retweets and for some people where you rank is important. Most of us have a few hundred Instagram followers and Facebook friends, with the average number of Facebook friends at around 338, and some people have thousands across all platforms, and call themselves influencers. But then there are those who are genuinely liked and followed by millions purely because of how highly regarded and respected they are.
A recent report by Twiplomacy shows an insight into the social media reach or world leaders and some have some great reach, including His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
In the reports of the top 50 social rankings for world leaders across the three main social media platforms, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed ranks in the top 20 in all of them, and ranks 9th in the most liked world leaders on Instagram with over 3 million followers, 11th in the most followed world leaders on Twitter with 9 million followers and 19th in the most followed world leaders on Facebook with 3 million page likes.
Topping the rankings on both Instagram and Facebook is Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and on Twitter US President Donald Trump.
