Over recent years, the way we explore cities and travel around them has changed dramatically. With the advent of ride hailing apps, getting to and from different places is easier and a lot more convenient. And as the data on our habits is captured, it is also now possible to announce where the most popular spots are, and Uber has done exactly that.
A recent report published by Uber lists the top 15 most visited attractions in 2018 globally, and Dubai’s very own record breaking iconic landmark, Burj Khalifa, makes the list. Number 1 on the list is New York’s Empire State Building, however the 828 metre tall tower in Downton Dubai ranks in at a very credible number 6, ahead of London’s Buckingham Palace. Not surprising really when you take into consideration the number of visitors that come to Dubai as well as the attractions in and around Burj Khalifa itself, such as At The Top, the spectacular fountains, Dubai Opera and Dubai Mall.
