UAE residents noticed a change again where the network name usually appears on their mobile, which has been replaced with ‘Qasr Al Hosn’.
This time around the name change is due to a historic landmark in Abu Dhabi, which is set to reopen as a museum on Friday, 7 December.
After undergoing renovation works for over ten years, the heritage site in Abu Dhabi ‘Qasr Al Hosn’ will reopen and showcase the city’s development from a fishing and pearling hub to the modern city it is now.
‘Qasr Al Hosn’ will remain on phones until 7 December, when the historic landmark is scheduled to reopen.
About Qasr Al Hosn
Qasr Al Hosn is the oldest heritage site in Abu Dhabi made up of an inner fort which was built in 1795 and the outer fort which was built in the 1940s. Over the past 200 years, the fort has been a home to the ruling family.
