Dubai residents witnessed a spectacular event on Saturday evening to mark exactly 2 years to the day to the official start of Expo 2020. The event held at Downtown Dubai came to a close with a fantastic light show at The Dubai Fountain and on Burj Khalifa.
The event attracted thousands of people to Burj Park, Downtown Dubai for the five hour event of interactive live music performances, illuminations, lessons in dance from around the world, artistic exhibitions and international cuisines.
Three very energetic flash-mobs were an additional surprise feature.
Visitors also had the opportunity to sign up as an Expo 2020 volunteer, joining more than 15,000 UAE nationals and expats who have already registered their interest to become part of the Expo family.
