The Ministry of Health and Prevention has withdrawn four medicines following reports that they contain active substances that do not follow the required specifications.
The affected medicines include Amoclan Suspension, which is used as an antibiotic, the tablets F.C T mg40 10 20 and LIPOMAX, which is to treat cases of high cholesterol. Also withdrawn are all batches of Amniotic 5, 10 & 20 mg tablets which are used to treat blood pressure along with three batches of Daroxime 500mg tablets which are also used as antibiotics.
All the withdrawn products where withdrawn when they failed bioequivalence tests.
