The UAE is a dream country for many to find a job and earn a tax-free salary. However one report has revealed that it is not only jobs that people are after in the country, the UAE now ranks in the top 10 countries globally for online searches of the term “how to start a business in…”,.
Online digital marketing suite, SEMrush compiled online searches by people around the world seeking to set up small and medium sized enterprises (SME) and ranked the UAE in 9th spot. The country has clearly out-ranked all other Middle Eastern countries. Saudi Arabia and Kuwait ranked 30th & 34th, respectively. Only three GCC countries were placed in top 40 in a list of 195 countries.
“Our online marketing tools, which analysed the global search pattern for the last 12 months on search terms ‘how to start a company in’ and ‘opening business in’, placed three GCC countries in the top 40 most searched countries from a list of 195 countries worldwide,” commented Adam Zeidan, MENA region Corporate Communications Manager for SEMrush.
According to SEMrush’s research on the term “How to start a business in…”, the top 10 most globally searched countries online are:

- The Philippines
- Australia
- Canada
- New Zealand
- Pakistan
- South Africa
- United Arab Emirates
