When the London Eye (Millennium Wheel) opened in 2000 it was the largest Ferris wheel in the world measuring in at 135m.

The title then moved to China with the Star of Nanchang reaching 160m.

In 2008, this was surpassed by the Singapore Flyer with a new record high of 166m and then in 2014 Las Vegas opened the High Roller measuring 167.6m and currently the world’s tallest Ferris wheel.

All this of course, will change with the opening of Ain Dubai in 2018 and yet another record for Dubai.
