Residents and weekend visitors across the United Arab Emirates face intense summer heat alongside elevated nighttime humidity and early morning fog from Friday 24 July through Sunday 26 July 2026, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Maximum temperatures in internal desert zones will hit between 48°C and 49°C on Friday and Saturday, whilst major coastal cities, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, will hover between 40°C and 42°C. A minor temperature decrease is expected to begin on Sunday, accompanied by freshening winds and occasional cloud cover over eastern mountain areas.
NCM forecasts a clear temperature divide between coastal urban centres, interior regions, and mountain zones throughout the weekend. Dubai will see highs of 41°C on Friday, rising up slightly to 42°C on Saturday and tapering to 39°C for Sunday, with nighttime lows around 31°C to 32°C. Daytime temperatures in Abu Dhabi will hit 42°C on Friday, 44°C on Saturday and back to 42°C on Sunday, dropping to between 30°C and 33°C at night.
Sharjah and Ajman will reach highs between 40°C and 42°C, with overnight lows around 28°C to 32°C. Highs ranging from 40°C to 41°C in Umm Al Quwain and lows down to 29°C, and highs in Ras Al Khaimah up to 46°C on Saturday and Sunday and lows of 31°C to 33°C.
The coolest region on Friday and Saturday is expected to be Fujairah and the eastern coast, with peak daytime temperatures at 39°C, rising to 46°C on Sunday, and lows around 31°C to 34°C.
