UAE Launches National Licensing Platform For Health Professionals

MoHAP

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has introduced the National Licencing Platform, a unified system designed to streamline and standardise the licencing of health professionals across the UAE.  According to MoHAP, the new unified platform will significantly reduce the time and effort needed for health professionals to obtain their license.

Key Features Of The New Platform

  • One license, valid nationwide: Health professionals, including doctors, nurses, pharmacists and technicians, can now obtain a single professional practice license recognised across the UAE.

  • Faster, more efficient process: The platform reduces processing time by unifying licencing standards and streamlining application procedures.

  • Seamless mobility: Licenced professionals can easily transfer between federal, local government, and private sector health entities without needing separate approvals.

  • Digitally integrated system: The platform uses an advanced digital framework to manage qualifications, verify credentials and ensure compliance with global healthcare standards.

According to Alla Mansour, Acting Director of the Licencing and Accreditation Department at the Ministry, the new initiative aligns with the Ministry's commitment to implementing the Zero Government Bureaucracy programme, and delivering an integrated, innovative package to streamline the licencing of health professionals for business sector clients.
