The Statistics Centre, Abu Dhabi (SCAD) has announced that the population of Abu Dhabi has reached 3,789,860, an 83% increase since 2011. This data comes from the Abu Dhabi Census 2023, which is the first census based entirely on administrative records. Additionally, the census data reveals that males in the emirate number 2,541,465, making up 67% of the population, while females total 1,248,395, accounting for 33% of the population.
The Data Reveals That Abu Dhabi Region Is The Most Populous
According to the published data, the Abu Dhabi region is the most populous, with 2,495,925 residents, making up 66% of the emirate's total population. The Al Ain region follows with 1,009,735 residents, representing 27% of the population, and the Al Dhafra region has 284,205 residents, accounting for 7% of the total population.
Abu Dhabi Witnesses 82% Increase In Employment
When it comes to work, driven by economic growth and the transition to a knowledge-based economy, Abu Dhabi has witnessed a substantial 82% increase in employment since 2011, with the total employed population now at 2,522,390. This surge underscores Abu Dhabi's emergence as a prime destination for business, investment, and talent.
The workforce comprises 46% white-collar workers, a segment that has seen a 109% increase since 2011, and 54% blue-collar workers, which has grown by 65% over the same period. This data reflects the dynamic expansion and diversity of Abu Dhabi's workforce.
Lastly, the data shows that Abu Dhabi has experienced a 66% increase in residential and non-residential units since 2011, reaching a total of 754,555 units. Residential units make up 58% of this total, with 441,410 units, while non-residential units account for 42%, with 313,145 units. This growth highlights the positive impact of the emirate's ongoing infrastructure developments in recent years.
