His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has launched the Mothers’ Endowment Education campaign. This campaign seeks to honour mothers in the UAE by creating a Dhs 1 billion endowment fund. The fund aims to provide sustainable support for the education of millions of individuals worldwide.
The campaign, happening during the Holy Month of Ramadan, recognises that mothers are the first teachers for their children. They nurture generations and give them important knowledge for life. This campaign wants to honour mothers by letting people donate in their mothers' names. By supporting education and job training, the campaign also wants to help people in underprivileged communities get qualifications. It gives them better chances to find jobs, improves their living standards, and boosts stability and development in their communities.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed shared a video and said, "My dear brothers and sisters: The Holy Month of Ramadan approaches, and as has been our tradition of launching humanitarian campaigns, from the people of the UAE to the world every year, today we launch the Mothers’ Endowment; an education endowment fund valued at Dh1 billion, which acts as an ongoing charity in the name of all mothers in the UAE.”
