Dubai Might Soon Get World’s Second Tallest Tower

Burj Azizi

Dubai is home to tons of record-breaking stellar attractions; however, the highlight is always the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, with a staggering 828 metre height. And now, to add more to its record-breaking attractions and marvel skyscrapers, Dubai might soon be home to the world's second tallest tower. Azizi Developments has initiated the construction of a super-tall tower, asserting that it will become the second tallest in the world if it is approved.

Called Burj Azizi, it is scheduled to be ready within four years. The exact height of the $1.5 billion tower is not confirmed; however, once ready, it is touted to be the second tallest building in Dubai. It will be located on Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai and feature luxe apartments and penthouses, a mall spread across several floors, a seven-star hotel, food and beverage outlets and an observation deck.

To claim the title of the world's second tallest building, Burj Azizi must surpass the height of 679 metres, currently held by Malaysia's Merdeka 118, which was inaugurated in November.

However, all this subjective to the height approval.
