The phrase ‘bachelor pad’ conjures up a messy home with unwashed clothes, pizza boxes and remote controls strewn around the place. However, it doesn’t need to be like this if a few guidelines are followed.
Tip # 1: Colour palette
There is no need to stick with the ubiquitous boring off-white painted walls and ceilings. Consider painting walls in another neutral colour such as beige or grey. However, bachelors do not have to be confined to neutrals or solids in all areas of the room. Loose rugs or scatter cushions in mustard yellow paired with grey is a classic, sophisticated mature look while neon yellow paired with greys, black and white are youthful and funky. Other colours to consider are petrol blue, teal, aqua blue, indigo, violet, reds and greens.
