The Dubai Herbal and Treatment Centre (DHTC) has recently opened its new facilities offering a full spectrum in health and wellbeing. New introductions include the Feel Well Retreat, Eat Well restaurant and they have also expanded the Integrative Medicine department now called Get & Stay Well. These three pillars ensure that all aspects of healthy living are catered for.
What’s involved?
There are plenty of packages and treatments to choose from but as I hadn’t been sleeping well I plumped for the Sleep Tight Treatment. This unique treatment involves relaxing the mind and body through different forms of therapies to assist in restoring sleep patterns and a good night’s sleep. It started with a Reiki session to relax my mind and body and aid in the flow of energy. Next a Shirodara treatment is performed by an Ayurvedic Therapist, this involved warm therapeutic oil being flowed continually onto my scalp, it’s said to gradually melt stress away and induce a good night’s sleep. The treatment finished with reflexology performed by my Feel Well Therapist to aid the body further in putting the mind and body at rest.
Nicely relaxed I couldn’t resist a quick visit to the Eat Well Restaurant for a spot of something healthy. And with one of Dubai’s top wellness chefs, Patrick Ikinofo, heading up the kitchen, eating healthily here is absolutely delicious.
As every dish is gluten-free and sugar-free I had a great variety to choose from. I went for the beetroot and goats cheese starter, seabass fillet for main and even found room for the mixed berry cheesecake!
What are the results?
The new retreat is beautiful. I loved the décor and was convinced I was in an Alpine retreat somewhere! The treatment itself was very relaxing and I did sleep really well that night.
As for the food, well it is fabulous! Everything is so fresh and healthy yet tastes absolutely delicious.

The Sleep Tight Treatment lasts for 90 minutes and is priced at Dhs 575.
