What’s involved?
A grounding plate is applied to your back to act as a conductor, before the therapist applies a cooling gel to the face. Working on one area at a time, she passes an applicator over the skin in circular motions, which causes heat to build as the radio-frequency energy is transmitted to the deeper layers of the skin. Despite the intensity, the warming sensation is bearable, even when applied to the more delicate skin near the eyes.
What are the results?
Halfway through the 60-minute treatment, the therapist holds a mirror up for me to check the results so far. Lighter wrinkles, a seemingly firmer jawline - five years erased like magic! For maximum effect, Bloom Clinic recommend regular follow-up treatments, although a one-off is definitely worth a splurge for a special occasion.
