If you're planning to attend Easter services this weekend in Jebel Ali, getting there just got a lot easier.
From Friday, 18 April to Sunday, 20 April, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is offering free shuttle buses to help you reach the Jebel Ali Church Complex. Just take the Dubai Metro to Energy Metro Station, and from there, hop onto the RTA bus directly to the churches, and travel free of cost. The buses will run daily from 8am to 8pm throughout the Easter weekend.
RTA's social media post said that this initiative comes under the directives of its leadership, aiming to foster harmonious relations and tolerance among Dubai's diverse communities. The post also mentions that visitors can also access the Easter event sites in Oud Metha by taking a short walk from the Oud Metha Metro Station. St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oud Metha is just 290 metres away from the Oud Metha Metro Station.
Easter weekend starts with Good Friday on 18 April and continues through Easter Sunday on 20 April. So whether you are planning to attend mass, meet friends or celebrate Easter at the church, this is a helpful way to plan your visit and avoid the stress of parking.
