We all love a good make-up tip, but how about when it comes to make-up removal? Believe it or not, there are a few make-up remover hacks that you can use to not only remove your make-up, but also create beautiful make-up looks! Here are a few of my favourite tips, which I use on a daily basis both on set and in my own beauty routine.
- Create the perfect cat eye by first applying your liquid or gel liner and flicking it out to the side. Then take a cotton bud and dilute it with Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Eye Make-up Remover and sweep underneath the flick to create a sharp, clean line.
- Did you know that you can use a face wipe to clean your brushes? Neutrogena’s Deep Clean Face Wipes are designed to remove make-up, so why shouldn’t they be used to remove make-up from your brushes quickly and easily. This works especially well for brushes used for lipstick and eyeliner, as regular shampoo does not remove this when washing your brushes the ‘normal’ way. Plus, you can use them again almost straight away.
- Sleek pony tail - This is a really cool little trick. You know those days when you have not washed your hair and you just want a nice, sleek pony tail? Pull your hair back into a pony, and gently smooth a face wipe over your hair. The moisturiser in the wipes will smooth down any fly-aways and give you a smooth, sleek look in seconds! This works especially well after the gym.
- Eye make-up remover can actually be the best thing to use to remove liquid lipsticks! Sometimes they can be extremely difficult to remove due to their staying power, but the tiny bit of oil typically blended in eye-make remover products cuts right through the sticky lipstick formulas and removes long-wearing lipstick instantly, and of course, all kinds of eye make-up!
- When wearing a smoky eye, try doing this first instead of your base. It makes it so much easier to clean up any mess before applying foundation. I always start with eyes first on my clients, especially when creating a heavier eye look. I then grab a face wipe and wipe any shadow fall away and then go ahead and apply the base. A little extra tip - once you’ve applied your base, blend the edges of your shadow once more with a taupe shade. This will create a seamless, extra smoky effect.
