Game Design And Esports Courses To Be Offered To Pupils

GEMS FirstPoint School - The Villa will now offer students the option to choose between two specialised courses in digital game design and esports.

The courses will be available from the start of the 2021-2022 academic year this September and will be the first school to feature these courses in the UAE. 

Classes for the two courses will be held in a creative media suite and immersive room, and will give students will the opportunity to learn industry level hardware and software.

Industry leaders Pearson and British Esports Association have supported the courses. Additional university partners and sectors will be announced shortly.

Years 12 and 13 students can choose between these courses. Esports will also be introduced to students from all grades as an extracurricular activity and sporting leagues and tournaments will also be held.
