The UAE has once again been named the world’s safest country, topping the Safety Index by Country 2025 Mid-Year, published by global data provider Numbeo.

With a score of 85.2 out of 100, the UAE outranked 147 countries, reflecting global recognition of its public safety standards, low crime rates, and sense of security among residents and visitors alike.

The index is based on perceptions of crime, safety while walking alone at night, and concerns about violence, burglary, and discrimination. Higher scores indicate a stronger sense of safety.

Following the UAE were Andorra, Qatar, Taiwan, and Macao, with Oman also placing in the top ten.

The UAE also dominated the global city safety index, with Abu Dhabi ranked the safest city in the world. Ajman, Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, and Sharjah followed closely, placing five UAE cities among the top six globally.

The rankings reflect the country's long-standing commitment to public security, supported by strong infrastructure, efficient law enforcement, and community cohesion.
