School children in the UAE have been participating in distance learning classes since March this year and it was announced that the on-going distance learning system for students will remain effective until the end of 2019 to 2020 academic session.
However, the Ministry of Education has released a statement to say the decision of when to return back to classrooms is under review, and does not any clarify if students will go back to school or continue distance learning for academic year 2020 to 2021.
According to a news released at the Government news agency, the Ministry clarified that any decision for the academic year 2020 to 2021 is still under review and will be taken based on the health situation and precautionary measures.
