Contribute to this great cause of feeding people in need by purchasing a LED light on Burj Khalifa for Dhs 10.
The 'World’s Tallest Donation Box' has launched in a collaboration between the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and the Burj Khalifa as part of the ’10 million meals’ campaign, which in the first week of the Holy Month of Ramadan distributed over 1.3 million meals to low-income workers.
There are 1.2 million lights on Burj Khalifa's facade up for sale, and each light can be purchased for Dhs 10, an amount equivalent to one meal donation.
Hence, a total of 1.2 million meals can be donated to individuals and families affected by the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak in the UAE.
Donations can be made through the website www.tallestdonationbox.com.
The world's tallest building aims to light up all 1.2 million lights on the Burj Khalifa's facade, reflecting social solidarity among the UAE's diverse local and expatriate population, to bring relief to the coronavirus-hit communities across the country.
The number of meals to be donated will be relative to number of lights purchased.
