Due to the forthcoming unstable weather over the next 24 hours, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has announced that schools in Dubai and across the Northern Emirates will be closed on Wednesday 20 November. In a message posted on its official Twitter account, the MoE stated that the Ministry in order to ensure the safety of students, had decided as a result of prevailing weather conditions, schools will not open on Wednesday.
In an earlier post, the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) tweeted, in its own customary style, that though the weather maybe be wet, schools will be open unless school principals decide otherwise. It appears though that the MoE tweet supercedes this tweet.
In another tweet, Abu Dhabi Municipality also confirmed that schools in the Capital will be closed on Wednesday due to the bad weather.
