Dubai Health Authority (DHA) took to Twitter to announce that the authority has shut down a private hospital for not complying with laws and regulations.
Even though the authority did not name the hospital, DHA says that it will not tolerate any violations and will take action against those who do not operate within the framework of responsible medical practice.
It was revealed that the hospital was closed after a series of inspections and field visits, which found that the hospital had repeated violating practices that harm public health on a number of occasions.
After 3 months of closure, the hospital will be re-evaluated to make sure that all the recommendations and observations noted in the investigation report meet the quality of medical services expected, and comply with standards and regulatory health policies.
However, outpatient clinics will remain open and, while the hospital is not allowed to accept new patients, it is be allowed to continue the treatment of existing patients.
