728 roads accidents were recorded in Dubai during the three-day Eid Al Adha holiday.
Colonel Turki bin Fares, Director of Dubai Police’s Command and Control Centre, said that “Dubai Police's emergency number 999 received 25,867calls during the Eid Al Adha holidays”. They also handled 125,867 emergency calls from the public.
Speeding, failing to maintain a safe distance, tailgating, carelessness and distraction were the main causes of road accidents.
He reminded the public to call 901 for general inquires and dial 999 number in cases of true emergency only.
