Aldar

Aldar, a leading Abu Dhabi-based property developer, has announced the master plan for Fahid Island, its latest mega-development project in Abu Dhabi, set to offer an upscale lifestyle where every point on the island is within a five-minute walk to the waterfront

Located between Yas Island and Jubail Island, Fahid Island will have have an 11 kilometres coastline. It will span a total of 2.7 million square metres and deliver a luxury-driven community of more than 6,000 residences, including coastal villas, apartments and town houses, all complemented by curated leisure spaces and nature reserves. One side of the island will open up to 4.6 kilometres of beachfront, while the other borders lush mangrove forests.

The development’s first phase, expected to be completed by 2029, will feature a 10 kilometres running and cycling track, a beach club, wellness centres, a five-star resort, and a vibrant pedestrian retail street. The initial residential launch, Fahid Beach Residences, will consist of seven low-rise buildings, each housing 65 premium units.

At the heart of the island will be a 2 kilometres waterfront promenade, a social hub where residents can stroll, meet, and unwind. Coral Drive, a boutique retail strip, is set to feature art galleries, concept cafés, a ballet school, and trendy outlets designed for community engagement and creativity.

With a gross development value of over Dhs 40 billion, Fahid Island aims to match the prestige of Aldar’s previous flagship destinations like Yas Island and Saadiyat Island, offering the next generation of luxury living in Abu Dhabi.
