His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, chaired the UAE Cabinet meeting.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai; His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Finance; His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of the Interior, and His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The cabinet lauded the strong defensive spirit of the country's armed forces, and the strong sense of responsibility shown by residents and citizens.
The cabinet affirmed that all sectors and work teams are operating with complete efficiency and professionalism to ensure that the UAE remains strong amidst the current situation and returns fast to normalcy.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum said, "Today, I chaired a Cabinet meeting, where we commended the strong defensive spirit of our armed forces, the unity of the UAE’s people and residents, and the strong sense of responsibility shown by all teams. Under the leadership of Mohamed bin Zayed, our institutions are operating efficiently, our defence forces with professionalism, and our private sector with responsibility. We remain committed to preserving our achievements and will emerge stronger."
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum also approved the UAE Space Strategy for the next five years. The industry is now valued at over Dhs 44 billion, with more than 170 organisations involved, and 30 satellites launched to date. In addition, the country has also launched an astronaut programme for Emiratis, a scientific mission to Mars, and a new mission to Venus and the asteroid belt.
During the meeting, the cabinet also approved more than 120 international agreements and MoUs across energy, investment, economic, diplomatic, and humanitarian fields. Furthermore, a new strategy called the UAE Integrative Medicine Strategy was approved to build a comprehensive healthcare system that balances traditional and modern medicine.
