Dubai Taxi Company Partners With Kabi To Boost Ride-Hailing

WAM

Dubai’s ride-hailing sector is entering a new phase of growth following a landmark partnership between Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) along its strategic partner Bolt and Kabi by Al Ghurair and Zed, the UAE’s homegrown ride-hailing app.

The agreement will integrate 10,000 taxis onto e-hailing platforms, enhancing availability and efficiency for commuters.

The deal will see DTC’s 6,200 vehicles and Kabi’s 3,680 taxis connected seamlessly through Bolt and Zed. As fleets expand, newly added vehicles will be automatically incorporated, ensuring services keep pace with growing demand.

The initiative aligns with Dubai’s target of shifting 80% of taxi trips to e-hailing, part of Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority’s wider vision for a smart, sustainable mobility ecosystem. Demand for taxis is already on the rise, with the sector recording a 7% growth in the first half of 2025 compared with the previous year.
