Rory McIlroy, fresh from completing a historic career Grand Slam at Augusta National, has confirmed his return to Emirates Golf Club for the Hero Dubai Desert Classic 2026. The five-time Major winner will headline the event from 22 to 25 January 2026, aiming for a record fifth Dallah Trophy.

The Northern Irishman’s connection with Dubai runs deep. Rory's first appearance at Emirates Golf Club came as a 16-year-old amateur in 2006, and his breakthrough professional win followed just three years later at the same tournament. Since then, victories in 2015, 2023 and 2024 have cemented his bond with the tournament and its fans.

“The Hero Dubai Desert Classic has always been one of my favourite tournaments, and I’m really looking forward to returning to Emirates Golf Club in January. I consider Dubai a second home. The support there is always incredible, and it’s the perfect place to start the year”, Rory said.
