Dubai Municipality has announced the launch of Hatta’s first sand equestrian track, a new addition designed to attract horse lovers and adventure seekers to the mountain region.
The first phase of the project, with a track stretching 2.54 kilometres in length and three metres in width, provides both amateurs and professional riders with a safe, scenic environment to enjoy horseback riding against the stunning natural backdrop of Hatta. Riders can bring their own horses or hire them locally, making the experience accessible for everyone.
The equestrian track is expected to boost Hatta’s economy by attracting new investments and supporting small businesses in sectors like tourism, hospitality and retail.
The project supports the wider Hatta development plan, which aims to strengthen the region’s position as a leading tourism and leisure destination. It also highlights the UAE’s commitment to preserving horsemanship as part of Emirati heritage while diversifying recreational opportunities for residents and tourists.
