Digital Dubai has revealed all the members of the UAE’s first virtual Emirati family, created to represent national values and bring digital life closer to the community.
The announcement follows a public vote that drew nearly 14,000 participants to select a name for the first Emirati virtual character. 'Latifa' won with 43% of the votes, beating other options like 'Mira' and 'Dubai'. In a short video shared on social media, Latifa introduced herself along with her family members, including her father, Mohammed, her mother, Salama and her brother, Rashid.
This virtual Emirati family is designed to act as 'digital ambassadors' for Dubai’s digital transformation, using storytelling to simplify government services and highlight responsible digital behaviour.
Latifa and her family will serve as a fun and relatable way to learn about digital services. Their upcoming appearances across platforms will share stories and tips aimed at making technology safer, smarter and easier for everyone to use.
