Dubai is set to break another global record with the upcoming Emaar Properties Station, confirmed to be the world’s highest metro station at 74 metres above ground. The announcement came as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, laid the foundation stone of the Dubai Metro Blue Line.
Emaar Properties Station is set to be built near Dubai Creek Harbour and the station draws inspiration from the concept of a 'crossing gateway', symbolising Dubai’s vision as a global hub for innovation and progress. Spanning 11,000 square metres, the station will be able to handle up to 160,000 passengers daily.
The station will stand as a bold architectural statement and a major milestone in the city's growing smart mobility network. With the full completion of the Blue Line, Dubai Metro will extend to 131 kilometres, served by 78 stations and 168 trains, reinforcing the city’s commitment to cutting-edge infrastructure and future-focused transport.
