Dubai is set to welcome a new elite addition to its education sector as the UK’s prestigious Harrow School announced the opening of its first campus in the emirate. Named Harrow International School Dubai, the flagship school will be constructed on a 50,000sqm plot on Hessa Street and is expected to be fully operational by 2026.
Once complete, Harrow International School Dubai will accommodate up to 2,000 pupils, with a phased rollout beginning this September. The school will initially open for Early Years to Year 6, expanding gradually in line with demand and development timelines.
The project, formally approved by Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority on Monday, strengthens Dubai’s reputation as a global education hub.
The announcement comes months after Harrow revealed plans for its first UAE campus in Abu Dhabi, which will also be the capital’s first boarding school. Enrolments for Abu Dhabi campus will begin in October and will be open in the middle of next year. Both schools are part of a regional expansion managed by Taaleem, one of the UAE’s leading education providers, which had secured exclusive rights to operate Harrow-branded schools across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.
While tuition fees are yet to be disclosed, both Harrow schools in Abu Dhabi and Dubai have been classified as 'super premium', indicating a strong focus on high-end facilities, academic excellence, and a globally recognised curriculum.
The Harrow brand, known for its 450-year legacy of academic distinction, is expected to attract both local and international families seeking elite British education in the region.
