His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, has officially launched 'MyDubai Communities', a groundbreaking digital platform designed to strengthen social connections across Dubai’s diverse population. The initiative expands on the success of the #MyDubai campaign which, since its launch in 2014, has showcased the city’s vibrant community life through social media.
Accessible via MyDubai Communities website and promoted through Instagram and TikTok, the platform brings together approximately 100 interest-based groups spanning arts, sports, wellness, and professional networking. This launch aligns with both the UAE’s Year of Community 2025 and the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which aims to position Dubai among the world’s top three cities for quality of life.
The platform will serve Dubai’s 3.85 million residents from nearly 200 nationalities, offering tailored activities from cultural workshops to sports meetups. Communities include those focused on cycling, cars, wellness, adventure, sports, networking and much more. The user-friendly interface also allows quick registration for new communities or join already existing ones, in under five minutes. You can register HERE.
“We invite everyone to actively engage with the platform and to take advantage of the many opportunities it provides to participate in community activities and events.” His Highness Sheikh Hamdan's post on X said, emphasising Dubai’s commitment to inclusive development under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
