The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has declared Sunday, 15 September, as a paid public holiday for private sector employees in honour of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday. Work will resume on Monday, 16 September.

MoHRE announced this on its social media channels and extended heartfelt greetings to the UAE leadership, citizens, and residents on this auspicious occasion.

This announcement follows the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources' declaration that Sunday, 15 September, will be a public holiday for the UAE's public sector in celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) birthday.

While Sundays are typically a day off, this holiday will not impact many residents in the UAE.
