RTA Increases Nol Card Minimum Top-Up To Dhs 50

Attention frequent Dubai Metro users, there’s an important update for you. The minimum top-up amount for Nol cards at metro station ticket offices has increased to Dhs 50, up from Dhs 20. This update was announced by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) on X, formerly known as Twitter.

However, note that this change does not apply to online top-ups, which can still be done with any amount. For a seamless top-up experience, use the Nol Pay app, the official RTA website, or the RTA Dubai app. And if you are unable to top-up online, then for the offline top-up the minimum amount will be Dhs 50.

Additionally, commuters must maintain a minimum balance of Dhs 15 on their Nol card for a round trip on Dubai Metro, up from the previous Dhs 7.50 requirement.

This new top-up policy follows a previous increase in January when the minimum top-up amount was raised from Dhs 5 to Dhs 20.

Where Can You Use Nol Cards

Nol Cards can be used for Dubai Metro, public bus, Dubai Water taxis, and RTA paid parking. Besides this, you can also use your Nol Cards at public parks including, Zabeel Park, Al Mamzar Beach Park, Mushrif Park, Creek Park, and more, to pay the entry fee. It is also accepted at Etihad Museum and over 2,000 shops around the city.
