On Thursday, 18 July, the newly appointed ministers of the UAE cabinet took their oath during a ceremony at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. The ministers were sworn in before His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE; His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai; and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Chairman of the Presidential Court.
The ministers who took the oath were:
- His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council.
- His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.
- His Excellency Dr Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Acting Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the UAE.
- Her Excellency Sarah bint Yousef Al Amiri, Minister of Education of the UAE.
- His Excellency Dr Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports of the UAE.
- Her Excellency Alia Abdullah Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship of the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan expressed his wishes for the success of the newly appointed ministers in fulfilling their national duties. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan emphasised the importance of their roles in advancing and enhancing their respective sectors, contributing significantly to the UAE’s strategic plans, and meeting the needs of its people.
Meanwhile, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasised that the UAE leadership is committed to achieving excellence in government performance through continuous enhancements. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum highlighted the importance of appointing qualified talents who can leverage their extensive expertise to deliver the desired outcomes.
