According to inspection reports from Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), 81% of Dubai students attend private schools rated Good or higher, up from 77% last year. This improvement benefits nearly 49,500 students. The KHDA inspection covered 209 schools with over 360,000 enroled students, including 10 schools inspected for the first time.
Results showed 23 schools rated Outstanding, 48 Very Good, 85 Good, and 51 Acceptable, with two schools rated Weak and none rated Very Weak. Overall, 26 schools improved their ratings while three saw a decline.
Commenting on the results, Aisha Abdulla Miran, Director General of KHDA, said, “The continuous improvement by the schools indicates their commitment to offer high quality educational opportunities for students. We are grateful to the school community, principals, teachers, and parents for their efforts in enriching the learning experiences for students and contributing towards making Dubai one of the top 10 cities in the world for quality education. We look forward to increasing the number of students who are receiving good or better education and providing more distinguished education opportunities to Emirati students.”

What About The Inspections During The 2024 - 2025 Academic Year
During the upcoming 2024 - 2025 academic year, private schools in Dubai, excluding new schools completing their third year, will not undergo full inspections. Instead, the Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau will conduct quality assurance visits focusing on specific areas to monitor progress on schools’ improvement plans.
This decision aims to support teaching and learning processes while allowing schools the flexibility to implement necessary changes. Schools seeking a full inspection may submit requests to the inspection team, subject to KHDA review and approval.
