With the magic of festivities in the air, if there's one country in the world, where people want to travel, it is UAE. The UAE is a magnet for tourists, all thanks to its luxurious hotels and mega-malls, bustling streets and diverse attractions. In fact, as per 'Wego', a travel booking site, UAE is dominating Middle Eastern flight searches for the holiday season. Over 300,000 searches for flights to the Emirates were recorded in early December.
Dubai International Airport is also expecting a massive surge in passenger traffic over the holidays, with an estimated 4.4 million passengers arriving between 15 and 31 December, with an average daily flow of 258,000.
Meanwhile, in Abu Dhabi, Etihad Airways is anticipating carrying around 1.4 million passengers in December, bringing families together and creating memorable holiday journeys.
When it comes to hotels in the UAE, since mid-December, hotels in the country have seen a rise in occupancy rates. As reported in WAM, some hotel establishments are expecting occupancy rates to reach 100% capacity on New Year's Eve.
