Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, an ultra-low-fare national airline in the UAE, has reported its operational achievements for 2023. The airline experienced a remarkable year, operating over 15,000 flights and transporting three million passengers. Notably, it served more than 1.5 million point-to-point passengers travelling to Abu Dhabi during the same period.
In 2023, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi got four new A321 planes, making a total of 12. They also increased the number of available seats to 3.7 million. The airline doubled its staff, creating more local jobs. They invested in modern and advanced planes and teamed up with partners, regulators, and others to make air travel more environmentally friendly.
Wizz Air is constantly expanding its network in the UAE. At present, it operates flights to 40 different places in 27 countries from Abu Dhabi.
The airline is excited to bring a new way of travelling to the UAE, aligning with the country's vision for society and the economy. They've expanded to Central Asia, North Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. It enables easy self-connecting travel throughout the larger Wizz Air network using Abu Dhabi as a hub.
