Dubai boasts numerous achievements, from housing the world's tallest building, Burj Khalifa, to featuring a cutting-edge museum like the Museum of The Future; the emirate truly offers it all. Notably, Dubai has now secured the second spot on the list of the world's top cities for a workation. A study conducted by Berlin-based WorkMotion reveals that Barcelona in Spain, has bagged the top position, with Dubai securing the second spot and Prague in Czech Republic coming in third.
The cities were assessed on factors related to employment compliance, living costs, infrastructure and liveability, in addition to showing current location trends for Workations. Dubai also stood out as the only city on the list with a zero-income tax rate, earning it the title of the best city for tax benefits.
Scoring an impressive 90.7 out of 100 in remote working infrastructure, Dubai also excelled in safety and mobility with a score of 97.6 out of 100. In terms of safety, it ranked as the second-highest destination, right behind Bern in Switzerland.
Dubai, renowned for its rigorous law enforcement and zero-tolerance stance on crime, achieved an exceptional overall score of 99.9 out of 100. In terms of other cities, Spain's Madrid secured the fourth position, Australia's Melbourne took the fifth spot, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands came in sixth. Lisbon in Portugal, Sydney in Australia, Gran Canaria in Spain, and Reykjavík in Iceland completed the top 10 rankings.
