Calling all cycling enthusiasts, get ready for the return of Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, the most distinctive cycling experience in Dubai. This thrilling event is set to take place on Sunday, 12 November, right on Sheikh Zayed Road. Billed as the largest community cycling event in the emirate, it welcomes cyclists of all ages and skill levels to participate.
With the support of Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the famous Sheikh Zayed Road will turn into a massive cycling track. This event will let families, casual cyclists, and passionate biking fans enjoy a one-of-a-kind view of the city's stunning landmarks. It's an inclusive event where anyone, no matter their fitness level, can take part. There will be two route options to choose from, offering both challenge and enjoyment.
Designed for more seasoned cyclists, the Sheikh Zayed Road course covers a distance of 12km, running from the Dubai World Trade Centre to Safa Park. It features a picturesque ascent over the Dubai Canal Bridge and offers five starting points located at the Museum of the Future, Al Satwa, the Coca-Cola Arena, Business Bay, and the Lower Financial Centre.
Alternatively, there's the 4km Downtown family route along Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard, beginning at Dubai Mall. This flat course passes by iconic landmarks such as the Dubai Mall, Dubai Opera, and the Burj Khalifa, making it suitable for cyclists of all ages and skill levels.
Dubai Ride, presented by DP World, is a beloved feature of the Dubai Fitness Challenge (DFC). DFC, initiated in 2017 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, is an annual city-wide fitness challenge. In the previous edition, a whopping 34,897 cyclists joined in, uniting as one community for this exciting event.
