Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi has welcomed Crew-7 onboard the International Space Station (ISS) on 27 August.
Crew-7 is led by Jasmin Moghbeli and includes astronauts Andreas Mogensen, Satoshi Furukawa, and Konstantin Borisov.
Crew-6 consisting of Sultan Al Neyadi, Stephen Bowen, Warren Hoburg, and Andrey Fedyaev, will hand over responsibilities to Crew-7, to carry out a six-month-long scientific investigation and experiments in space.
On 1 September, Crew-6 will make their journey back to Earth after completing their six-month-long mission. The return will be aboard the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft, Endeavour, which will land off the coast of Florida.
While on the mission, Sultan Al Neyadi was the first Arab to perform a spacewalk, and the second Emirati astronaut to go to space.
