Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has honoured 2,172 taxi drivers across the emirate as part of its 'Road Ambassadors' initiative, aimed at recognising drivers who uphold high standards of conduct, vehicle cleanliness and customer care.

The initiative, which covers achievements throughout 2024 and the first half of this year, highlights taxi drivers who went the extra mile, including returning lost items to passengers and maintaining spotless vehicles. By acknowledging their commitment, RTA hopes to motivate all drivers to deliver exceptional service that enhances public satisfaction and trust.

Officials at RTA noted that the recognition fosters healthy competition among drivers and taxi companies, helping to set new benchmarks in safety, service quality and customer happiness.  Honouring drivers not only rewards their integrity and hard work but also assures the public that Dubai’s transport system continues to prioritise excellence and customer care.

The drivers expressed gratitude for the appreciation, saying it encourages them to keep serving the community with dedication.
