On 11 and 12 May, four evacuation planes from Sudan landed in the UAE, carrying 253 people from different nationalities, bringing the total number of evacuation planes since 29 April to nine.
Individuals in vulnerable groups have been prioritised as part of the evacuations, including the sick, children, the elderly and women.
The nine planes have helped 997 people from 26 nationalities find refuge in the UAE.
The required care is being provided to all while in the UAE, before helping them return to their home countries.
On 15 April, due to a conflict between the Rapid Support Forces and the Sudanese Armed Forces, many people have not had access to food, water and electricity, leading to a humanitarian crisis.
