DXB LIVE, the experiential agency of the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), has announced the return of Emirati Theatre with the staging of 'One Thousand Nights and a Wedding' by the Shabab Al Ahli Theatre Group. The production will run for two nights only, on 7 and 8 June, at the Sheikh Rashid Hall in DWTC, in celebration of Eid Al-Adha.
'One Thousand Nights and a Wedding' is a vibrant fusion of comedy, drama, and music, weaving together ancient storytelling traditions with modern social commentary. The play explores themes of love, freedom, family, and equality, offering a fresh lens on Emirati identity and the realities faced by today’s youth.
Audiences can expect a visually rich and emotionally resonant performance, featuring a stellar cast of established Emirati Theatre stars alongside up-and-coming talent. The production aims to spark conversation and reflection, while also entertaining families during the Eid holiday.
