The Dubai Tango Festival returns for its thirteenth edition, bringing the allure of Argentine tango to the UAE. From 8 to 12 May, the Lapita Hotel at Dubai Parks and Resorts will transform into a hub of rhythm and elegance, hosting dancers and enthusiasts from around the globe.
What You Can Expect This Year
This year's festival boasts an impressive lineup of internationally acclaimed tango champions, including Yanina Quinones, Neri Piliu, Ornella Simonetto, Leo Di Cocco, Agustina Coudannes, and Lucio Rivero. Attendees can immerse themselves in expert-led workshops covering various dance techniques and styles.
The festival kicks off on the night of 8 May with the opening dance, starting at 9.30pm. In the following days, free yoga classes and workshops are on offer. The evenings will come alive with milongas, social dance gatherings where participants can practice and showcase their skills. Renowned DJs Gabriel Sodini and Ornella Simonetto will provide the perfect soundtrack for these nights.
The highlight of the festival is the 'Gala Night' on 10 May from 8pm to 3am the next day. This elegant evening begins with a sumptuous dinner, followed by a captivating Argentine tango show that promises to enchant attendees with its passion and precision. The festival culminates with the 'Survivor Desert Milonga' from 10pm on 11 May to 7am on 12 May, where participants to get to dance at the desert camp, indulge on food and beverages and also enjoy camel riding and horse-back riding.
