Real Estate Advertisement Verification Service To Launch

WAM

Dubai Land Department (DLD) will launch a new electronic service to verify all real estate print and audiovisual advertisements.

The service, Madmoun, aims to enhance the real estate sector by generating a QR code for advertisements and will be put into use from Monday, 24 April.

With the code, residents will be able to verify the authenticity and validity of the advertisement easily, as well as see if the property has been sold or rented.

The information will also be available on the DLD website and will prevent changes from being made to the conditions and details of the property.

Through the service, fraudulent transactions will be avoided and will help in protecting the rights of residents.

His Excellency Eng. Marwan bin Ghalita, CEO of RERA at DLD said, "We are constantly keen on enhancing and ensuring transparency in the real estate sector. We will continue to empower the real estate community with proactive and streamlined real estate services and integrated data, based upon a pioneering digital infrastructure and qualified human cadres. This will help achieve sustainability in the development and growth of the real estate sector, keeping pace best-international practices and standards and positioning Dubai as a pioneering model in this field."
