The 41st edition of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) is set to return with a packed agenda with 2,213 publishers from 95 countries.
Over 130 authors, intellectuals and experts from 57 countries will host 1,047 activities, over the 12-day event.
Held at the Expo Centre Sharjah, from 2 to 13 November, the theme for the year is 'Spread the Word’.
With around 330 publishing houses, the UAE tops the list of Arab publishers, followed by over 110 publishers from India on an international level.
This year will also make the debut participation of publishers from ten countries including Cuba, Costa Rica, Liberia, Philippines, Ireland, Malta, Mali, Jamaica, Iceland and Hungary.
The SIBF 2022 Guest of Honour is Italy and will see 17 activities organised as part of its cultural programme.
Some prominent authors include Deepak Chopra, Rupi Kaur, Lincoln Pierce, Sultan Al Amimi, Khulood Al Mualla, Ibrahim Al Hashemi and more.
Over 120 shows from theatre, dance performances and musicals will take place throughout the event.
Additionally, book lovers can participate in a wide range of activities and workshops.
