Dubai Taxis Increase Number Of Passengers

WAM

Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) taxis in Dubai are now permitted to carry two adults and one child, under the age of 14 years, in one journey, without using the seat next to the driver.

The number of authorised passengers in the three-row family vehicle (van) remains at four as a maximum, until further notice.

Previously, RTA taxis were only permitted two passengers for each trip.

This rule was established to ensure the safety of passengers and the drivers and to socially distance in order to curb the spread of COVID-19.
